Not only do we supply the finest needlecraft supplies at our website but we also offer needlecraft workshops to customers that can be booked through the website.

At our shop in Guisborough, we provide regular patchwork and quilting and dressmaking workshops to bring together enthusiasts of all abilities from total beginners to the more experienced. We have a safe, friendly space for you to develop your skills with expert advice and guidance always at hand. We’ve got the experience and knowledge to make sure you can fulfil your potential and have some fun along the way.

 2024 WORKSHOPS

Our latest workshop programme is now booking and the details are listed below. It's a varied programme and we hope you'll find something to sign up for.  Photos of each workshop sample will be uploaded as the samples are ready. There's a link on each photo which takes you to the booking site to book a place.  Please note that our programme is sometimes subject to changes but we endeavour to keep this page updated regularly.

By making a booking you are accepting that our workshops run in a room with limited ventilation with other members of the public.

You are also agreeing to provide us with your contact details for safety purposes and that you will contact us should you become ill with coronavirus immediately following the workshop so we can contact other attendees.

Workshop prices are £40 and they run from 10am to 3pm. Half day workshops are £20 and run from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 4pm.

​ We will need a non-returnable £5 deposit for each booking to secure your place which you can pay in person in the shop or over the phone with a secure card transaction. Please do not book workshops through Facebook Messenger as sometimes messages get lost!

Sewing machines are available to hire for £3 per session. Please let us know before the workshop if you'd like one reserving.

Workshop Programme 

Workshops may be subject to change of dates or postponements due to unforeseen circumstances. We will also try to repeat workshops which fill up very quickly. We will keep this page updated with any alterations and additions that are necessary. 

The Beginners' Quilt

​If you'd like to learn how to make patchwork quilts or quilted items we have 7 week beginners' course for you here at the shop.  Over the 7 weeks you will learn rotary cutting, measuring accurately, piecing, layering, simple machine quilting and binding. By the end of the course you will finish the quilt shown here in your own fabric choices...
